  <p>Information: Elaine C. Jarrett, 83, of Ripley, passed away Tuesday, July 31, 2007, at Jackson General Hospital, Ripley.    She was born November 9, 1923, in Ripley, a daughter of the late Oscar and Isabel Hood Crites.  She was a graduate of Marshall University and received her masters from University of Florida.  She was a school teacher and guidance conunselor for both Jackson County and Bravard County, FL. She was a member of St. John&#39;s Episcopal Church and Alpha Delta Kappa.  She enjoyed taking care of others, visiting with friends and playing bridge.    Survivors include her daughters Jane Scott and husband Edward of Cocoa, FL and Kathryn Randolph and husband Danny of Ripley; grandchildren Sean Kidd of Ripley, Todd West and Troy West and wife Traci, all of Cocoa, FL; great-grandchildren Evan T. West and Kaitlyn Futch both of Cocoa, FL and several cousins, a niece and a nephew.  She will also be sadly missed by many friends, especially her beloved bridge group.    In addition to her parents, she was preceded in ddeath by her husband Francis E. Jarrett and son John C. Jarrett.    A memorial service was held Saturday, August 4, 2007, at St. John&#39;s Episcopal Church, Ripley.  Vail Funeral Home, ripley, served the family.</p>
