Obituary Date: 1914-04-10

Information: Rev. Albert Jamison, for six years pastor of the Ravenswood Presbyterian Church, died at 7:30 o'clock last Saturday morning.  He was taken sick on Friday of the previous week.  Double pneumonia with complications of typhoid quickly developed.  When it was seen that the efforts of skilled physicians and a trained nurse were in vain, Rev. Jamison calmly conferred in arranging details of his funeral and with heroic courage awaited the end.      He was born in Baltimore in January 1872, educated in the city schools, graduated from the Baltimore City College, studied in John Hopkins, spent some time abroad and graduated from Princeton Theological Seminary, where he took lectures from President Wilson.  He entered the ministry in 1896 and soon afterward was married to Miss Chlora Lum.  As a preacher, he attained a high rank and was a man of undaunted courage.  His death was a sad shock to his town.  Deceased is survived by his widow, two daughters and one son, his aged mother, a sister and two brothers, also survive.  Following a very impressive funeral service in charge of Rev. G. I. Wilson of Sistersville, assisted by E. A. Cully of Parkersburg, S. E. Foote of Williamstown, and local pastors, the remains were laid to rest in the Ravenswood Cemetery on Tuesday afternoon in the presence of a large audience gathered to pay tribute to a much loved man.  (McIntyre)
