Information: Kenneth Charles Jack, 79, a 63-year resident of Dunbar, passed away July 14, 2004, at his home after an extended illness. He was born in Parkersburg, October 21, 1924, to the late Lynn C. and Eunice V. Jack. His sister, Lucille Claire Jack, also preceded him in death. Kenny was in the hardware business for 54 years and was the owner of Kanawha Supply Company, Dunbar, and, after retiring, worked part-time at Pile Hardware, Charleston. He was a graduate of Dunbar High School and served his country in the US Army's 1716th Signal Service Aviation Battalion, and was stationed in the Phillippines during World War II. He was also an Eagle Scout of Troop 46, Dunbar. He was a faithful member of First Church United Methodist. His mission to the church was served in many different capacities. Kenny was a past president of Dunbar Rotary Club for two terms. Mr. Jack is survived by his wife of 58 years, Fay Marie Kessell Jack; son, Robert C. Jack of Dunbar; daughter and son-in-law, Bonnie S. and Stephen Rowley of Hurricane; grandson, Brent Rowley of Hurricane; brother and sister-in-law, Floyd F. and Eloise Jack of South Charleston; sister, Jo Ann Jividen of Dunbar; several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 16, at First Church United Methodist, Dunbar, with the Rev. Dr. Okey B. Harless officiating. Interment will follow in Grandview Memorial Park, Dunbar. Arrangements in care of Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
