Information: Mrs. Muriel Lee Workman Bates, 45, of Glen Ferris, Fayette County, formerly of Charleston died Tuesday in Montgomery General Hospital after a short illness. She was a secretary for Dr. Henry Glass Jr. and was a Methodist. Surviving: husband, Frank; daughters, Mrs. Linda Gibson Cooper and Susan Denise Gibson of Sissonville; son, Jeffrey L. of Sissonville; sisters, Mrs. Catherine Hilbert of St. Albans, Mrs. Roberta Fisher of Charleston; brother, J. C. Workman III of South Charleston, Robert J. Workman of Charleston; parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Workman Jr. of Charleston; one grandchild; six stepgrandchildren. Service was held Friday in Bartlett-Burdette-Cox Funeral Home with the Rev. Lawton W. Posey officiating. Burial was in Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans.
