  <p>Information: DEATH OF L. E. HYRE         The Putnam Republican last week had a brief notice of the death on Wednesday of Mr. Ellet Hyre, from a paralytic stroke.  Until he moved to Putnam three years ago Mr. Hyre was a life-long resident of Elk Fork, where he had owned a delightful home, a beautiful farm of several hundred acres, had been postmaster, one of the prominent citizens of the district and a pillar of the Southern Methodist Church.    Through endorsements for his sons, whose ventures proved disastrous, he became involved and finally was ""sold out of house and home.""  Sixty years old, bankrupt in purse after a lifetime of plenty, impaired in health, shattered in mind and broken in spirit, he could not survive many years the blow of adverse fortune and his death was no great surprise to those who had known him in happier days.  May he rest in peace.</p>
