  <p>Information: Clarence Virgil BATES                   Clarence Virgil BATES, son of Homer B. and Ona (FLYNN) BATES, was born June 28, 1902 and departed this life Oct. 20, 1947, aged 45-3-22.  He was united in marriage to Ruth BOGGESS on Oct. 11, 1930.                   He leaves their loss his wife; his father and mother; three brothers, Wilmer H. and Ray BATES of Sherman and Clyde BATES of Ravenswood; four sisters, Mrs. Carrie LAUGHLIN, Mrs. Elsie SNYDER and Mrs. Hazel ARMSTRONG, all of Ravenswood, and Mrs. Bertha SULLIVAN, of Sandyville; one sister, Arta BATES, preceded him to the great beyond.                   Funeral services were held at the Independence Church at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 22, with Rev.
