Information: Herman Hutton Retired teacher and principal Ravenswood--Hermon Hutton, 90, of Ravenswood, WV, departed this life January 15, 2001, at his home, following an extended illness. He was born at Gay, WV, on September 23, 1910, a son of the late Emory Robert and Annie Laura (Carpenter) Hutton. He was retired from the Jackson County School System where he served as teacher and principal for 43 years.  He was a graduate of Ripley High School, received his bachelor degree from Morris Harvey College and his masters degree from Marshall University.  He was a member of the Gideons, the Principals Association and Retired Teachers Association where he held the office of membership chairman.  He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Ravenswood, where he served in many capacities, including as a member and chairman of the deacon board and as a Sunday school teacher for 22 years. He is survived by his wife, Rada (Carpenter) Hutton, whom he married on January 29, 1936; daughters and sons-in-law, Mary and John Townshend of Pasadena, TX, and Carol and John Norman of Little Rock, AR; brother, Delmer Hutton of Evans, WV; grandchildren, Jill Leggett of Cutler, OH, Eric Hutton of Parkersburg, David Norman and Rebecca Norman of Little Rock, AR; great-grandchildren, Erica Hutton, Amber Leggett and Josiah Leggett; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sons, Keith Hutton and Robert Hutton, and brother, Basil Hutton. Funeral services will be held Friday, January 19, 2001, at 11 a.m. at Calvary Baptist Church, Ravenswood, with Pastor Fred Basnett, jr., and Rev. Rankin Roach officiating.  Burial will follow in the Goshen Cemetery, Kentuck, WV.  Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, January 18, 2001, at Casto Funeral Home, Ravenswood.
