Information: EVANS- Delmer Hutton, 89, of Evans, W. Va., departed this life Feb. 15, 2004, in Jackson General Hospital, Ripley, W. Va. following a brief illness. He was born in Belgrove, W. Va., a son of the late Robert Emory and Annie Laurie Carpenter Hutton. He was a retired insurance agent from Modern Woodmen of America with 20 years of service. He was a former teacher with 22 years of service in Jackson and Kanawha counties. He was also active in area civic groups, was a founding member of the Evans Public Service District, a former member of the West Virginia House of Delegates from 1952 through 1954, and attended the Parchment Valley Baptist Church, Ripley. Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Roger and Wilma Hutton of Mount Alto, WVa., Larry and Linda Hutton of Trophy Club, Texas, and Jim and Shirley Hutton of Evans; daughter and son-in-law, Deloris and Dr. William Simmons of Glenville, W. Va.; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Lena Faye Hutton; brothers, Herman and Basil. Service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2004, at the Parchment Valley Baptist Church with the Rev. Herman Robinson officiating. Burial will follow in the Goshen Cemetery, Kentuck. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Casto Funeral Home, Evans.
