  <p>Information: Miss Mattie Hutchinson died at her home in Ripley on Wednesday afternoon at the advanced age of 76.  The end came after a lingering illness from complications incident to age.  Miss Hutchinson was born on a farm on Parchment, where she lived until some six or seven years ago, when she and two sisters, Misses Susan and Lucinda, moved to Ripley.  The deceased is survived by two brothers, Ison J. of Beaver, Pa., and Orville of Freeman, Florida; also three sisters, Mrs. Hattie Mates of Denver, Colorado, Mrs. A. F. Wilson and Miss Lucinda Hutchinson of Ripley.  Funeral services will be at the home Friday morning at 10 o&#39;clock.  Interment will be made in Pine Hill Cemetery.  (A second article in the Mountaineer of December 22, 1922, states that she was born in Louden County, Virginia, December 22, 1842.)    (from the collection of Betty Kessel McIntyre)</p>
