Information: Jack D. Hutchinson, 73, of Sandyville, died Dec. 31, 1992 at Jackson County General Hospital, Ripley, following an extended illness. He was born in Jackson County, a son of the late Romie C. and Della Murray Hutchinson. He was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II, having served with the 101st Airbourne Division where he was awarded a Bronze Star and the Purple Heart for military service. He was retired from the Manville Corp., and was a member of VFW Post 3488 of Sandyville and the Drift Run United Methodist Church. Surviving are his wife, Louise Palmer Hutchinson; one daughter, Patty Koontz of Sandyville; one son, Glen D. Hutchinson of Sandyville; two grandchildren; one sister, Jean Utt of Parkersburg; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one brother, Joe Hutchinson. Services were Saturday at Straight-Tucker Funeral Home, Ravenswood with the Rev. Hubert Groves and the Rev. Betty Shields officiating. Burial was in Meadowdale Cemetery, Sandyville.
