Information: Pearl Lee Hurd, 58, of Sandyville, died Friday, Nov. 4, 1988, at Jackson General Hospital, Ripley.  Hurd was born in Jackson County, a son of Myrtle Hinzman Hurd of Ravenswood and the late Verner P. Hurd.  He was a member of the Sandyville United Methodist Church, a U. S. Army veteran, a member of the VFW and was retired from Coca Cola Co. of Parkersburg.  Surviving, besides his mother, are his wife, Ethel Folden Hurd; one son, Earl Hurd of Harrisonburg, Va.; two daughters, Brenda Frazier of Sandyville and Teresa Small of Belleville; two sisters, Elsie Lanham of Sissonville, Mary Ott of Sandyville; two grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by a brother, Charles E. Hurd, who was killed in Vietnam.  Services were Monday, 2 p.m., at Vail Funeral Home, Ripley, with the Rev. Paul Morrison and the Rev. Bill Sullivan officiating.  Burial was in Independence Cemetery, Sandyville.
