Information: CLIFFORD HUPP IS CLAIMED BY DEATH - Clifford Hupp, 63, for the past several years a well known businessman of Pettyville, died at the St. Joseph's hospital last Tuesday evening. His condition had been critical for several days and death had been expected. He was born Sept. 24, 1899 in Ravenswood, son of the late J. W. and Anna L. Rake Hupp, and had lived in Parkersburg since 1945. Mr. Hupp was a member of the Pettyville Methodist church and was a salesman for the Smith Meat Packing Company. He was a member of the IOOF Lodge. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. William G. Wilson and Mrs. Lew B. Moore, both of Parkersburg, and one son, D. Bruce Hupp, Pittsburgh, Pa., and four grandchildren. Seven brothers, Omar Hupp of New Brighton, Pa., Clyde Hupp, Ray Hupp, and Kenneth Hupp of Ravenswood, Glenn Hupp, Spencer, Clair Hupp and Robert Hupp, Parkersburg, and two sisters, Mrs. Ruth Anderson and Mrs. Hazel Slaven, Ravenswood, also survive. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nell W. Hupp and one brother, Mariman Hupp. The funeral service was held Friday afternoon at the Pettyville Methodist church with Rev. Lehmann Channels and Rev. Clifford Phillips officiating and the burial was in the Ravenswood cemetery.
