  <p>Information: COTTAGEVILLE MERCHANT DIES - Lawrence O. Hunt, 83, of Cottageville, died June 29, 1990, at home of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to the Jackson County Sheriff&#39;s Department.  He was a Navy veteran of War II.  He was the owner and operator of Hunt&#39;s General Store, Cottageville.  He was a retired postmaster with 39 years&#39; service.  He was a former schoolteacher and member of the Cottageville Public Service District Board.  Surviving:  sons, L. Alvin of Ripley, Clinton C. of Belpre, Ohio; daughter, Glenva ""Babe"" Anderson of Chauncey, Ohio; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.  Service was Monday at Casto Funeral Home, Evans, with the Rev. Gerald Sayre and the Rev. Mike Norris officiating.  Burial was in Blaine Memorial Cemetery, Cottageville.</p>
