Information: Henry Ivan Hunt, Sr. 78, of Leon, departed this life August 26, 2006, at the Hospice House of Huntington. He was born October 26, 1927, in Evans, a son of the late Henry Howard and Anise Casto Hunt. He retired from Kimberly Industries as a heavy equipment operator with 35 years of service. He was a member of the United Mine Workers of America. He served in the U. S. Army during the Korean War and attained the rank of Corporal. He also was a lifetime member of the American Legion. He was also a member of the Creston United Methodist Church, where he served several years as Sunday school superintendent, along with holding various administrative positions. He was a member of the Mason County 4-H Leaders Asociations and a lifetime member of the West Virginia 4-H All Stars. Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Henry I. (Deborah) Hunt, Jr., Robert A. (Nikki) Hunt, and Timothy L. (Marsha) Hunt, all of Leon; daughters and sons-in-law, Alice F. (Larry) Keefer of Mount Alto, Pamela Hunt Matheny of Leon, and Debra Hunt Tygrett of Scott Depot; brother, Charles Hunt of Oak Hill; sister, Kathleen Barber Hunt of Evans; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. In additon to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Ora Mae Hunt; sister, Juanita Frump; brothers, Howard L. Hunt, Marvin Lee Hunt, and Claude L. Hunt. The service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 30, 2006, at the Creston United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Gerald B. Sayre and the Rev. Randy Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow with military honors in the Creston Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, August 29, at the Casto Funeral Home, Evans.
