Information: Funeral services for C. F. Hunt, age 78, were held from the Antioch Church near Cottageville Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock and burial was in the church cemetery.  He had been ill of complications for some time and died at his home at 9:30 Monday morning.  Rev. Roy Davis, pastor of the Cottageville United Brethren Church, had charge of the service.  Mr. Hunt was a native of the Cow Run community and spent his life there as a farmer until a few years ago when he retired active work and moved to Cottageville where he lived until his death Monday morning.  c. F. Hunt, the son of Jacob L. and Sarah (Barnett) Hunt, was born Dec 22, 1861 and departed this life Aug 5, 1940, age 78 years, 7 months, and 13 days.  He was united in marriage to Luverna V. Hunt on Oct. 15, 1885 (JCMR).  To this union five children were born, all deceased.  He professed faith in Christ about 49 years ago and united with Cherry Grove M.E. Church, South.  After that church burned and was never rebuilt, he with his wife, united with the Antioch U.B. Church about 30 years ago.  He leaves to mourn their loss, the widow, two brothers, John and Frank Hunt, of Polo, Missouri; a nephew, Eather Hunt and family, who helped to care for him during his last illness.  Also other nephews and nieces and a host of friends.
