Information: Russell Barr, 78, of Evans died Thursday in the VA Medical Center, Huntington after a short illness. He was an Army veteran of World War II.  He was a retired horse trainer and a Protestant.  Survivors include one sister, Daisy Donohew of Evans and several nieces and nephews.  Services were Sunday at Casto Funeral Home, Evans, with the Rev. Gerald Sayre officiating.  Burial was in Creston Cemetery, near Evans.
