  <p>Information: LULING, LA. -  Hubert Humphreys Sr., 81, of Luling, formerly of Kenna, W. Va., died July 31, 1998, in Lifecare Hospital, LaPlace, after a long illness.  He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II.  He was a Christian, a retired training director from Union Carbide with 33 years&#39; service, and was an employee of employee relations from International Salt Division of Axzo Nobel Chemical.  He was instrumental in starting adult education programs in the Kanawha Valley.  He was a former member of Elk River Church of the Nazarene.  Surviving:  wife, Densie Gay Wolfe Humphreys; sons, Hubert, Jr. of Ripley, W. Va., James W. of Kinston, Ga.; daughters, Jean Talbert and Connie J. Gasson, both of Luling; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.  Service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church, Luling, with the Rev. Dwight Moon and the Rev. Laron Grasson officiating.  Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery, Philadelphia, Miss. Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. today and one hour prior to service at the church.  Roush Funeral Home, Ravenswood, W. Va., is in charge of arrangements.</p>
