  <p>Information: Ralston R. Hughes, 70, of Derby, passed away in Derby, VT., on Friday, Dec. 16.  He was born May 27, 1918, in Ravenswood, the son of Philip and Margaret (Wilson) Hughes.  He served in the U. S. Air Force for 20 years, retiring in 1961 from active duty.  Four years ago he moved from San Antonio, Texas, to Derby to make his home. Surviving:  two daughters, Mrs. Thomas (Joanne) Smigliani of Derby and Mrs. Paul (Kathleen) Anderson of Eston, Mass; six grandchildren, two from Derby, Christopher and Monica Smigliani; two brothers, Wayne Hughes of Ravenswood and Raymond of Cottageville; two sisters, Mrs. Etta Day and Esther Hughes, both of Ravenswood.  Funeral services were held at the Converse-Rushford Funeral Home, Newport, VT, Dec. 20, with the Rev. Barry Armitage officiating. Interment was at the Sunset Memorial Park, San Antonio, Texas.</p>
