  <p>Information: Esther Pearl Hughes, 84, of Ravenswood, died Sunday, August 26, 1990, at Jackson General Hospital in Ripley following a long illness.  She was born in Jackson county, a daughter of the late Phillip S. and Margaret Belle Wilson Hughes Sr.  She was a graduate of Mountain State Business College and a member of Flatwoods United Methodist Church.  She retired after 25 years as a private secretary for Alexander and Alexander Associates and was a former employee of Schuman Construction Co.  She is survived by one sister, Etta H. Day of Ravenswood; two brothers, Wayne W. Hughes of Ravenswood and Raymond E. Hughes of Cottageville; and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by three sisters and three brothers.  Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today (Wednesday) at the Flatwoods United Methodist Church with the Rev. Wayne Hinzman officiating.  Burial will follow in the Flatwoods Cemetery.  Straight-Tucker Funeral Home, Ravenswood, is in charge of arrangements.</p>
