Information: Mrs. Lucy Battrell Barr, 90, of Ripley, died Sept. 23, 1990 in Pocahontas Memorial Hospital, Marlinton after a short illness.  The daughter of the late J. A. and Rosa Morgan Battrell, she was a retired schoolteacher for Jackson, Kanawha and Mason Counties.  She attended Ripley Tabernacle Church. Surviving:  son, Glenn W. of Arbovale; sister, Sylvia Hill of Belle; several nieces and nephews.  Her husband, Guy, preceded her in death.  Service will be 11 a.m. today (Wednesday) at Parsons Funeral Home, Ripley with the Rev. Orland Reynolds officiating.  Burial will be in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes.
