Information: Clarence Burton Hughes, Jr., infant son of Clarence Burton and Irene Hamon Hughes, died Saturday morning, July 19, 1941, at nine o'clock at the home of his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Ruff Hamon, Branchland, W. Va.  He was born at Cottageville, W. Va. January 27, 1941.  He was five months and 24 days old when Jesus took their darling home.  Word came here at three o'clock Sunday morning of his death.  The funeral party arrived at the home of his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. O. G. Hughes, of Cottageville, Sunday evening.  Undertaker Ralph Bush had charge of the body.  He leaves his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence B. Hughes and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Ruff Hamon of Branchland, W. Va. and Mr. and Mrs. O. G. Hughes of Cottageville, W. Va. and several aunts and uncles and relatives to weep.  The funeral was held by Rev. and Mrs. Fiber from the home of his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. O. G. Hughes.  He was laid to rest in the Blaine cemetery at Cottageville, Monday, July 21, 1941.  [Betty Kessel McIntyre obit collection]
