Information:                 Funeral services were held yesterday (Tuesday) afternoon at the Allen’s Fork Church for Mrs. Mary Pluma Huffman, 52, who was killed Sunday morning as she walked along US Rt. 21 near her home just north of Charleston.  The Rev. Hobson D. Fisher officiated at the service and burial was in the Boggess Cemetery.  The driver of the car which struck Mrs. Huffman was Cornelius Carl Snodgrass of Charleston, whom police said they have charged with manslaughter, hit and run driving and drunken driving.  The victim is survived by her husband, Owen E. Huffman; a son, Charles Huffman of Sissonville; two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Daoust and Mrs. L. L. Harper, both of Charleston; two sisters, Mrs. Spicey Matthews of Charleston and Mrs. Grace Higginbotham Sissonville; eight brothers, Rome Phillips of Charleston, and John, Marion, Summers, Jessie, Okle, Senate and Ott Phillips, all of Sissonville.  (Betty Kessel McIntyre obit collection)
