Information: Harry Rodney Howard, 66, of 1116 Henry St., died Sept. 26 at his home following an extended illness. He was born in Jackson County on Oct. 7, 1898, son of William and Annabelle King Howard. He was a member of the Wilding Methodist Church and served in the Army during World War I. He was a member of the Ables-Rayburn Post 118, American Legion, and was a retired employee of the Carbide Co. in Charleston. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Della Hupp Howard; two daughters, Mrs. Anna Ervin and Mrs. Mary Smith, both of Charleston; two sons, Ray E. Howard, Ravenswood, and Robert R. Howard, Columbus, Ohio; three sisters, Mrs. Wilma Snyder, Mrs. Nancy Batten and Mrs. Bertha Miller, all of Parkersburg, and six grandchildren. Burial was in the Ravenswood Cemetery.
