  <p>Information: Rose Ellen Conner Houchen, 93, of Belpre, Ohio died at Christian Anchorage Nursing Home in Marietta, Ohio, February14 after a short illness. A Jackson County native, she was the daughter of the late James E. and Arminda Conner, a member of the United Brethren Church at Gay, the Belpre VFW auxiliary, Belpre Senior Citizens and the Ripley Chapter No. 17, Order of Eastern Star.  Surviving are three sons, Chester Houchen of Akron, Ohio, George Houchen of Sandyville, and Gilford Houchen of Belpre; two daughters, Elizabeth Ferguson of Littleton and Opal Clark of Belpre, with whom she had resided; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Vincent M., five sisters, three brothers and two great-grandchildren.  Burial was in Independence Cemetery at Sandyville.</p>
