  <p>Information: COTTAGEVILLE - C. Ray Houchen, 81, of Cottageville, WV, departed this life February 15, 2002 in Jackson General Hospital, Ripley, following an extended illness.  He was born June 3, 1920 in Ripley WV, a son of the late Corbett and Mary (Harmon) Houchen.   He was a WWII U. S. Army veteran, retired from Kaiser Aluminum with 24 years&#39; service, and was a member of the United Steelworkers Union #5668.  He was a Methodist by faith.  Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Jeanette R. (Sayre) Houchen; sons, Rick Houchen, Tracy Houchen and Mitch Houchen, all of Cottageville; five grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by a son, Gary Ray Houchen; brother, Ernest Houchen; sisters, Clorice Smith and Clarice Beymer.  Services were held Monday, February 18, 2002 at 11 a.m. at Casto Funeral Home, Evans WV with Rev. Gerald Sayre  and Rev. Phillip Scarberry officiating.  Interment followed in Jackson Memory Gardens Mausoleum, Cottageville WV.</p>
