  <p>Information: Melvin Oakley Hopkins, 85, of Ravenswood WV, died October 25, 2012 at Jackson General Hospital, Ripley WV.  He was born August 28, 1928 in Wirt County to George Hopkins and Edna Coophem Hopkins.  He was retired as a hydraulic specialist from Kaiser Aluminum in Ravenswood, where he was a member of Steelworkers Local Union 5668.  He loved hunting, fishing and gardening. Survivors include:  sons, Brian Hopkins and fiancee, Debbie Wood, Silverton WV and Terry Hopkins and fiancee, Joyce Buckbee, of Millwood WV; two grandchildren; brothers, Reverend Elverson Hopkins and Eugene Hopkins; and four sisters, Wilma Simms, Phyllis Coran, Sharon Perkins, and Garnet Stephens.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Madolyn; daughter, Faith Ann Hopkins; son, David M. Hopkins; his parents; two brothers; and two sisters.  Funeral service was Monday, October 29, 2012 at 2 p.m. at Roush Funeral Home, Ravenswood WV with Reverend Daniel Hopkins officiating.  Burial followed in Sunset Memory Gardens, Parkersburg WV.</p>
