  <p>Information: Emory Howard Hopkins, 65, of Given, died Sunday, June 28, 1987, at home.  He was born in Jackson County, a son of the late E. Howard and Mitilda Winter Hopkins.  He was a stock farmer, a retired post office rural mail carrier and was a member of the Ripley VFW.  He was a member of the farm bureau and served with the U.S. Navy in World War II.  He is survived by his wife, Reva Hopkins; two sons, W. H. Hopkins of Arlington, Va., and Stephen Hopkins of Given; one daughter, Anna Virbick of Alexandria, Va.; two sisters, Marjorie Kinser of Charleston, and Jean Landfried of Florence, Ky.  Services will be 11 a.m. today (Wednesday) at the Vail Funeral Home, Ripley.  Burial will be in Fairplain Cemetery.</p>
