  <p>Information: Sylvia O. Holliday, 72, of Route 1, Rockport, died at her residence after a long illness.  Born in Jackson County, she was the daughter of the late William and Carrie Barnett Young.  She was a member of the Gates Ridge United Methodist Church.  Surviving; husband, Walter H. Holliday; daughters, Beulah DeVaughn of Palestine, Ireta Sayre of Sandyville, Wanda Thompson of Ravenswood; brothers, Wilmer and George Young, both of Steubenville, Ohio; sisters, Missouri Thompson and Stella Connor, both of Rockport; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters.  Burial was in Gates Ridge United Methodist Church&#39;s cemetery.</p>
