  <p>Information: John L. ""Doc"" Holliday, 56, of Ripley, passed away Monday, January 9, 2012, at Charleston General Hospital, following a short illness.  He was born September 26, 1955 at Parkersburg.  He was a heavy equipment mechanic with Walker Machinery and a member of the Operating Engineers #132.  He was also a member of the Ripley Masonic Lodge AF & AM #16.  Survivors:  his wife of 34 years, Peggy Hughes Holliday; his daughter, Mari Holliday (Matt Thomas); his father, Maynard Holliday (Hattie) of Ravenswood; his mother, Barbara Dettloff of Racine OH; sister, Judy Holliday of Racine OH; and a brother, Jeff Holliday of Columbus.  A memorial service will be held at 3 pm Saturday, January 14, 2012, at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley.  Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.</p>
