Information: Raymond S. Holland, 62, of Ripley, former mayor and director of the Bank of Ripley, died at Jackson General Hospital.  Burial was in the Shinn Cemetery in Fairplain.  Born April, 1910, he was a son of the late P.S. and Alta Staats Holland and was a member of St. John's Epilcopal Church, Ripley.  He also belonged to the AF & AM Masonic Lodge No. 16 and was the president of Raymond Holland Construction Co.  Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Mildred Holland, one daughter, Dr. Mary Lee Holland of Morgantown; three brothers, Claude T. of Norfolk, Va., Edward W. of South Charleston and Robert L. of Dawson; and five sisters, Miss Lurteen Holland of Charleston, Mrs. Dorothy Lanham of St. Albans, Mrs. Benevieve Ranson of Alderson, Mrs. Ruth Bryant of Ripley and Mrs. Pauleen Cook of Rainelle.
