Information: Mrs. Malinda Hogsette, age 76, widow of John Hogsett, died at her home on Stone Ridge of diseases incident to old age.  The funeral services were held at the Otterbein Church after which burial was made by the side of her husband in the Otterbein Cemetery.  The death of Mrs. Hogsette was not unexpected, yet brought with it a full measure of regret on the part of her friends.  She was a member of one of the pioneer families of Jackson County and was esteemed for her many fine traits of character.  She is survived by the following children: Homer H. Hogsette of McKeesport, Penn.; Mrs. Claude Sayre of Witchita, Kan.; Fred Hogsette of near Ripley and Misses Nettie and Lulu Hogsestte at home; three brothers, S.W. Stone of Charleston, P.M. Steubenville, Ohio, G.L. Stone of Ripley; one sister, Mrs. Lucy Spicer of Fairplain.  Those out of town attending the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. S.W. and Harold Stone, wife and daughter, Elizabeth of Charleston, P.M. Stone of Steubenville, Ohio, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Burdette, Mrs. Louise Burdette and Charles Burdette Jr. of Sandyville.
