Information: John W. Hogsett, a life long resident and highly respected citizen of Stone Ridge, near Ripley, died at 11 o'clock, Friday, death being due to the third stroke of apoplexy, with which he was attacked only a few days ago. He was 72 years old, a faithful and devout member of the Mt. Moriah U. B. Church, a well-to-do farmer and had raised a most excellent and prominent family of children which had grown to manhood and womanhood. Funeral services were held at Otterbein U. B. Church Saturday afternoon and his remains were interred in the cemetery nearby. He is survived by his wife and the following children: B. F. and H. H. Hogsett of Beaver, Pa.; Mrs. C. H. Sayre, Los Angeles, Cal.; Fred Hogsett, Ripley; and Misses Nettie and Lula Hogsett, at home. All of the children were at his bedside when the end came except Mrs. Sayre.
