Information: Robert Frederick Hoffman, 77, of Millwood department this life October 2, 2009 in Ravenswood Care Center, Ravenswood, following an extended illness. He was born Feb 2, 1932, in Charleston, a son of the late Frederick R. and Frances Louise McClure Hoffman. He was retired from the purchasing department of Kaiser Aluminum. He was the owner of Hoffman Insurance Agency, Evergreen Hills. He was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church, Ripley. Bob was an avid member of the R.A.C.E. flying club. He was a member of Cottageville Lodge No. 54 AF&AM. He was a verteran of the United States Marine Corps, serving in Korea, with nine years of service, and was a member of the Jackson County Marine Corps League No. 1065. Survivors include daughter, Kathryn Hofman of Coatesville, Pa., and Cindy Hoffman of Daytona Beach, Fla., brothers, Jack Hoffman of Mineral Wells and William D. Hoffman of Brunswick, Ga. In addition to his parents his wife, Joann May Pinnell Hoffman; and son, Lloyd Pinnell Hoffman, preceded him in death. Service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, October 5, 2009, at Epworth United Methodist Church, Ripley, with the Rev. Teresa Dean officiating. Burial will follow at Blaine Memorial Cemetery, Cottageville, with full military honors. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Casto Funeral Home, Evans, and one hour prior to the service time on Monday at the church.
