Information: COTTAGEVILLE - Joann Mae Pinnell Hoffman, 67, of Cottageville, died July 3, 1999, in Memorial Division, CAMC, after a short illness.  She was born December 9, 1931 at Parkersburg, a daughter of the late William Lloyd and Olevia Mae Beckwith Pinnell. She was owner and operator of Lord & Hoffman Monograms, and was a member of Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 16, Cottageville.  She was also past grand chaplain for the Order of the Eastern Star for the State of West Virginia and a member of Grand Cross of Color.  She was a member of Charleston Light Opera Guild, Kanawha Players, Kith 'N' Hills Theater Group, and was a commercial actress.  She was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church, Ripley, where she was a member of the choir, United Methodist Women and Friendship Group, and Golden Rule Sunday School Class.  She was a member of the board of directors for Jackson General Hospital, Ripley.  Surviving:  husband, Robert Frederick Hoffman; daughters, Kathryn Hoffman of Downington, Pa., Cynthia Hoffman of Daytona, Fla.; sister, Virginia Kathryn Hogsett of Ripley.  Service will be 11 a.m. today at Epworth United Methodist Church with the Rev. Ken Krimmel and the Rev. Gerald B. Sayre officiating.  Burial will be in Blaine Memorial Cemetery, Cottageville.  Friends may call one hour prior to service today at the church.  In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Epworth United Methodist Church Building Fund, North and Church Streets, Ripley, WV 25271.
