  <p>Information: James L. Hoffman, 73, of Ravenswood, died Aug. 9, 1996, at Charleston Area Medical Center, Memorial Division. He was born in Relay, MD.  He received a bachelor&#39;s from the University of Maryland.  He was a U.S. Army Air Force veteran, having served during World War II.  He was a retired purchasing agent for Kaiser Aluminum.  He was alliliated with the First United Presbyterian Church of Ravenswood.  Surviving are his wife, Mary Ann Brown Hoffman of Ravenswood; two sons, John Dorsey Hoffman of Ripley and Mart Steven Hoffman of Beaumont, TX; one daughter, Julie Anne Green of Morgantown; two sisters, Mary Jane Johnson of Cocoa Beach, FL, and Helen Louise Finlayson of Rockville, MD; and five grandchildren. Services were Monday at First United Presbyterian Church, Ravenswood, the Rev. Wallace Wilson officiating.  Memorials may be made to Jackson County Public Library, 208 N.
