Information: Benjamin Lloyd Hoff, 48, of Cottageville WV, passed away July 18, 2012, at his home. He was born December 12, 1963 in Parkersbur WV, the son of Sandra S. (Gibson) Hoff of Cottageville and the late Lloyd William Hoff. He graduated from Ripley High School in 1982 and in 1986 graduated from West Virginia Institute of Technology with a degree in Electrical Engineering Technology. He later became president and chief executive officer of Lloyd's Electronics in Millwood WV. He was known and respected for his leadership and innovative thinking in the electronics field. Ben cared deeply for his community and will be remembered by many as a fun and motivating 4-H leader and camp counselor. A skilled artisan, he spent many hours in his workshop, designing woodworking projects, making repairs or tinkering; he could fix or make just about anything. A man with a big heart, strong will, and sense of responsibility; he took care of his family, was dedicated to his business, helped his mother, farmed the land, supported his friends, and raised three girls, while sharing his life with his wife and best friend, Rashel, the love of his life. Ben loved God, and was a lifelong member of the United in Christ Church, Cottageville, where he attended regularly with his family. He was also a member of Cottageville Lodge #54 AF & AM, and his college fraternity Alpha Phi Omega, where he served as one of its presidents. He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Rashel D. (Williams) Hoff; children, Kayla Denea, Lauren Nicole, and Kassandra Dawn, all at home; mother, Sandra S. Hoff; sisters, Teresa L. Hoff Poole (Jessica Ray and Montana Lyle), and E. Rebecca Hoff (Blaine) and grandmother, Masel R. Gibson. Services were at 1 pm Monday, July 23, 2012 at Casto Funeral Home Chapel, Evans WV. The Rev. Trae Gandee officiated. Burial followed at Jackson County Memory Gardens, Cottageville. Visitation was 4 to 8 pm Sunday at the funeral home.
