  <p>Information: Emma Gail Barney, 79, of Ripley died Sunday at Jackson General Hospital following a sudden illness. She was born Feb. 26, 1907 in Roane County, daughter of the late George and Josephine Parsons Gandee.  She was a housewife.  Surviving:  sons, John of Los Angeles; Billy of Burton, S.C.; Paul of Fairplain; four daughters, Josephine Dorsey and Patsy Sharp of Ripley, Christine Davis of Summerlea, W. Va.; Beverly Anderson of California; two step-daughters, Freda Casto of Given, Virginia Martin of Moundsville; sister, Mattie Geho of Grantsville; 33 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.  Services were Tuesday at the Parsons Funeral Home Chapel, Ripley with the Rev. Armor Sayre officiating. Burial was in Fairplain Cemetery.</p>
