Information:   Mrs. Helen Hinzman, 81, of Pearland, Texas, passed away Thursday, November 14, 2002, in the Park Place of Friendswood. She was born August 16,1921, in Kenna, and was a resident of Pearland for two years. She for­merly lived in Ripley. She was a member of the Ripley High School Class of 1939 and attended West Virginia University. She was a homemaker and a member of the Protestant faith. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Christina and Vernon Deese of Pearland, Texas; a sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and L.C. Burdette of Williamsburg, VA; aunts, Dollie Simmons of Given and Ruth Corbin of North Carolina; uncle, William Corbin of Summersville; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Marion and Sheila McCoy of Ripley; sister-in-law, Dot Simmons Nichols; grandchildren, Dea Deese Martin and William Brett Deese; great-grandchildren, Ross Martin, Miles Martin, Hailey Martin, Xavier Martin and Ma­rina Martin; several nieces and nephews; and numerous other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Robert Hinzman; her parents, Sattis and Thelma Corbin Simmons; her brother, Keith Simmons; and niece, Cynthia Joyce Burdette. Graveside services will be held on Friday, November 22, 2002, at 1:00 p.m. at Pine Hill Cemetery in Ripley. She will be sadly missed.
