Information: GAY HINER DIES OF HEART ATTACK - Gay Hiner, 47, died early Tuesday morning at his home in Ripley of a heart attack. He had not been ill and was only sick about an hour before his death. Mr. Hiner, who was an employee of the Kaiser plant, had lived in Ripley since being employed there. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn; a son, Gay Scott, at home; two daughters, Mrs. Ellen Barnette of Dunbar and Deborah, at home; three brothers, Glenn and Russell Hiner of Morgantown, and Leslie Hiner of Amherst, Ohio; and three sisters, Mrs. Dessie Huffman of Buckhannon, Mrs. Donna Bucks, Rochester, N. Y., and Mrs. June Field, Morgantown. The body is at the Vail Funeral Home here but funeral arrangements had not been completed Tuesday afternoon. Jackson Herald/June 28, 1963 - HINER SERVICE IS HELD ON FRIDAY - Funeral services for Guy Wayne Hiner, 48, of Ripley, were held in Morgantown on Friday and burial was in a cemetery there. Mr. Hiner died unexpectedly at his home in Ripley early Tuesday morning of what apparently was a heart attack. They body was at the Vail funeral home here until taken to Morgantown on Thursday. He was an employee of Kaiser Aluminum near Ravenswood and belonged to the Spruce St. Methodist church in Morgantown. Born Aug. 28, 1914, in Buckhannon, he was a son of the late James W. and Louella Hiner. He lived in Morgantown several years before moving to Ripley. Mr. Hiner served in World War II and was past commander of the VFW in Morgantown. Survivors are his widow, Mrs. Evelyn Truman Hiner; two daughters, Mrs. Ellen Barnette, Dunbar and Deborah Lou Hiner, at home; one son, Gary Scott, at home; three sisters, Mrs. Dessie Huffman, Buckhannon, Mrs. Dana Bucks, Poughkeepsie, N. Y., and Mrs. June Field, Morgantown. There are three brothers, Leslie Hiner, Amherst, O., Russell and Glenn Hiner, Morgantown.
