Information: John Franklin Hill, 78, of Kenna, died Friday in Huntington Veterans Hospital after a long illness.  He was a retired West Virginia school teacher and a civil engineer, a member of Warren Chapel United Methodist Church, Ripley American Legion and a veteran of World War I.  Surviving:  brothers, Opha and Oda, both of Kenna; sisters, Mrs. Linnie Carney and Mrs. Gladys Reed, both of Given and Mrs. Mae Harrison of Sissonville.  Service was held Monday in Emma Chapel Church, Given, with the Rev. Rankin Roach officiating.  Burial was in Emma Chapel Cemetery.  Vail Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
