Information: Mr. Ira Ward Hill, one of the best known and most prosperous merchants of the county, died Tuesday morning at his home at Given after a brief illness with typhoid fever. The funeral services were held from the Pleasant Valley Church Wednesday afternoon and was attended by an immense crowd of relatives and friends. Rev. T. O. Powers of the Baptist Church officiated. Mr. Hill was in the prime of life, 37 years of age, and his death is a shock and great loss to the community. He had been married fifteen years and is survived by the widow, three daughters and two sons, three brothers, Charles, Oscar and Frank Hill, and two sisters, Mrs. Will (Dora Bell) Casto, and Mrs. Wooster Beecher(Flora May) Stalnaker.
