  <p>Information: Raymond Lee Jim Barnette, 69, of Ripley, departed this life March 18, 2003 in CAMC, General Division of injuries received in an accident near his home.  He was born September 24, 1933 in Rockcastle, WV, a son of the late Alfred Jack and Sarah Sade (Sayre) Barnette.  He was a retired lineman and electrician, a member of the Independent Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Union, Local #317, Huntington, WV and was a superintendent for 20 years for R. H. Bouligny.  He was owner and operator of Barnette Tree Farm, Leon, a member of Minturn Lodge #19 AF & AM, Point Pleasant, a member of the Scottish Rite Bodies, Charleston and was a protestant.  Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Lorraine (Herdman) Barnette; sons and daughters-in-law, Gregory and Denena Post Barnette of Lakeland, FL, Raymond, II and Susan Wood Barnette of Proctorville, OH; daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn Barnette and Russell D. Watkins of Columbia, SC; and six grandchildren.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, John and Gary.  Services were held on Saturday, March 22, 2003 at 1 p.m. at Casto Funeral Home, Evans, WV with Pastor William Zuspan officiating.  Burial followed in Creston Cemetery near Evans.   </p>
