  <p>Information: Evelyn Huffman Higley, 96, of Ripley, formerly of Charleston, passed away February 1, 2012 at Cedar Ridge Center in Sissonville following a long illness.  She was born June 13, 1915 at Davis Creek near Charleston, daughter of the late Charles William ""Will"" and Mabel Bupp Huffman.  She was a lifelong homemaker and a Protestant.  Surviving:  son, Stanley Higley of Fairport NY; daughter, Fay Thompson of Ripley; grandchildren, David Bruce Thompson and Brian Thompson of Ripley, Sheila Zubick of Holly Springs NC, Sherry Thompson of Evansville IN, Michael Higley of Horseheads NY, and Deborah Corsora of Elmira NY; also surviving are ten great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.  In addition to her parents, Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband of 76 years, C. B. Higley of Charleston, seven sisters, and four brothers, all of the Charleston area.  She was the last surviving sibling of twelve children.  In keeping with her wishes, Evelyn was cremated.  A memorial service will be held at a later date.  Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley, is serving the Higley family.</p>
