Information: Mrs. Beatrice Lou Hicks, 66, died Saturday at the Jackson General Hospital after a sudden illness.  She was the daughter of the late Clyde and Goldie Testament Blake.  She was a housewife and a member of the Calvary United Methodist Church of Ripley.  She is survived by her husband, the Rev. Homer T. Hicks of Ripley; five sons, Tommy O. of Gay, Homer R. of Universal City, Texas, Samuel P. and Richard, both of Parkersburg, and Carter M. of Liverpool, N.Y.; five daughters, Mitzi Oldaker of Hartford, Sandra Mitchell of Doylestown, Ohio, Vicky Raney of Ripley, Sidnee VanWey of St. Albans, Donna Yencha of Parkersburg; 25 grandchildren and two  great-grandchildren.  Services were held Tuesday at the Calvary United Methodist Church with the Revs. William Eaton and Charles Scraggs officiating.  Burial was in the Ravenswood Cemetery.  Parsons Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
