Information: Funeral services for Mrs. R. H. Hickman, 70 years, 1 month and 10 days of age, were held from the Given church Thursday afternoon at two o'clock and burial was in the church cemetery.  The Vail mortuary had charge of the funeral arrangements.  Mrs. Hickman died at her home in the Given community on Wednesday.  She was well known in that section and was the widow of the late William Hickman.  She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Minnie Hunter of Dunbar, Mrs. Ferd French, of Cutler, Ohio, Mrs. Gladys Haning, of Sebring, Ohio, and Mrs. Agee Bush, of Given; and five sons, C. E. Hickman, of Given, H. C. Hickman, of Charleston, D. R. Hickman, of Charleston, and Howard and Clair Hickman, at home.    [29 August 1941]                                                               Rebecca Helen Hickman, the subject of this sketch, was born July 10, 1871, and departed this life, August 20, 1941, age 70 years, 1 month and 10 days.  She united in marriage with William Thomas Hickman on November 23, (marriage records has 18th) 1891. (the daughter of Charles and Alice R. Moore Parsons).  To this union were born five sons, C. E., W. H., and Clair Hickman of Given, and H. C. and D. R. Hickman of Charleston; and four daughters, Mrs. Minnie Hunter of Dunbar, Mrs. Gladys Hanning of Sebring, Ohio  and Mrs. Agee Bush of Given.  The husband and father preceded her to the Great Beyond on March 28, 1915, leaving her the care of nine children.  In addition to the husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, Gratton Parsons, and the following sisters, Mrs. Anna Landfried, Clara Harrison and Florence Hanning.  Those surviving are Mrs. Robert Rhodes, Mrs. L. V. Wolfe and two brothers, Okey and Levi Parsons, and a host of relatives and friends.
