Information: Francis Lincoln Barnett died in a Charleston hospital on Wednesday of this week.  Funeral services will be held at the Mt. Olive Church near Rockcastle today and burial will be made in the Barnette Cemetery.  Mr. Barnette was 79 years old.  He was born and lived the greater part of his life at Rockcastle, but at the time of his death he lived in Putnam County.  He is survived by two half-brothers, McKinley Barnette of Rockcastle, and William Henry Barnette of Dunbar; a sister, Mrs. Emma Simmons of Akron, Ohio.  Francis Lincoln Barnette was born May 6, 1866, a son of William Harrison and Mary (Harrison) Barnette.  He was married to Georgia Ann Hill in 1888.  There were born to this union two sons.  The wife and both children preceded him in death.  Again in 1901 he was married to Georgia Anne Cossin.  She too has preceded him in death.  Eleven brothers and sisters have preceded him in death, also.  Surviving him are two grandsons, Raymond L. Barnette of Dunbar, and Hershell A. Barnette of Dunbar.  Also two great-grandsons. A brother, John Barnette of Cottageville, one sister, Mrs. Emma Simmons of Akron, Ohio, two half-brothers, McKinley Barnette of Rockcastle and William Henry Barnette of Charleston, and a host of relatives and friends.  Mr. Barnette assured his minister on the Sunday before he died that he was at peace with his God.  He was converted and joined the Mt. Olive Church of the U. B. charge some forty-five years ago.  The funeral was conducted by Rev. Hartzel Bodkin of Rockcastle and the body was laid to rest in the family cemetery near the home of McKinley Barnette.
