  <p>Information: Charles A. Slick Herdman, 70, of Leon died Friday at home after a long illness. He was the father of Charles Herdman of Ripley. He was a member of the Pine Grove Community Church, Leon, and was retired from the West Virginia Malleable Co., with 42 years of service. He is also survived by his wife, Helen Boles Herdman; daughters, Catherine Baker, Sue Blevins and Jean Henneberg, all of Columbus, O., Brenda Herdman of Gahanna, O., Marcella Keefer, Doris Smith, Judy Keefer and Sharon DeWees, all of Leon, Edna Jeffers of South Side; additional sons, Dale, Mark and Mike Herdman, all of Leon, Woodrow Herdman of Gahanna, O.; sisters. Mable McDade and Pearl Dewees, both of Leon, Eulah McClure and Beulah McDade, both of Columbus; brother, Ephrum Herdman of Leon; 23 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. A service was held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Wilcoxen Funeral Home, Pt. Pleasant, with the Rev. Denzil Matheny and the Rev. Sammy Hart officiating. Burial was in the Pine Grove Cemetery, Leon.      	 </p>
