Information: Funeral services were held Saturday at the Creston United Methodist Church at Evans, with the Rev. Gerald Sayre officiating, for Miss Alta Belle Herdman, 81, of Evans, who died Thursday morning following an extended illness. She was born at Evans, a daughter of the late Abijah and Louise Roseberry Herdman. Survivors include two brothers, Wallie Herdman of Evans, and Clinton Herdman of Fairmont; one sister, Mrs. Clara Norris of Parkersburg; and several nieces and nephews. Burial was in the Creston Church Cemetery, under direction of the Vail Funeral Home at Ripley.
