George Layman Heinselman was born October 9, 1899, departed this life October 8, 1917, aged 17 years 11 months and 29 days. George was born at League, W. Va., and he with his parents came to Jackson county when only a baby. He was the only child of Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Heinselman and was a kind an obedient boy to his parents and always preferred spending his spare moments at home with them in preference to being out with other company. His last illness lasted but ten days. The end of this brilliant life came at 10 a.m. Monday, October 8, at the Kessler Hospital at Huntington, being caused by a complication of diseases. The body, accompanied by his parents and friends, arrived at Millwood Monday evening and was taken to his home. Funeral services conducted by Rev. Johnson were held at the home Wednesday at 10 a.m. Interment in the Cottageville cemetery. Besides his parents he is survived by a host of relatives and friends to mourn their loss.
