Information: Shyrlene Sue Taylor Heath, 73, of Ravenswood WV, passed away on January 11, 2012 at Rock Springs Rehabilitation Center in Rock Springs, Ohio.  Shyrlene was born on August 8, 1938 in Parkersburg WV, daughter of the late James Walter Taylor and Clara Ruth Poling Taylor of Mineral Wells WV.  She is survived by her children, Ronald W. Heath, Jr. and wife Kim of Millwood WV, Tammy L. Roughton and husband Brad of Manteo NC, Pamela D. Schnell of Ravenswood, Teresa S. Ridgeway and husband Charles of Dover DE, John W. Heath and wife Carolyn of Ravenswood, Donald R. Heath and wife Heather of Weston WV; brothers, Ray Taylor of Freemont OH, Donald Taylor of Daytona FL; sisters, Ann Wright of Parkersburg, Evelyn Jones and Dottie Cothern of Mineral Wells; 17 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; multiple nieces and nephews; and many special friends.      In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Jack, Paul, and Tom Taylor, and sister, Jeannie Taylor.  She attended Independent Fellowship Church in Ravenswood WV  and was a member of Eastern Star #14, Parkersburg WV, and Silverton Grange.  She was employed by the City of Ravenswood until she succumbed to her illness.  She previously worked for Evergreen and Cook Florists as a delivery person and did advertising work for WMOV Radio.  ""Sherd"", as she was affectionately known by family and friends, also was owner-operator of the Ravenswood Dairyette.  Over the years, she developed quite a reputation for her cooking and baking skills.  She was considered a ""mom"" to many but was especially protective of her own children.  In the early 70's she was the first female to run for the office of Mayor of Ravenswood.      Services were held on Monday, January 16, 2012, at 11:00 am at Roush Funeral Home in Ravenswood WV.  Pastor Allen Stewart and Kathy Klingensmith officiated.  Burial followed at Ravenswood Cemetery.  Friends were received at Roush Funeral Home on Sunday, January 15, 2012.  Thanks to the many people who helped during her difficult times the last two years.  Condolences may be expressed to the family at roush94@yahoo.com.
